Who we are

Save My Data has been providing IT support, backup and hosting services to small businesses since 1989, serving Kent, Essex, London and the surrounding areas. We are the "data controller" for any information you submit through this site.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. The main way this happens is through the enquiry form on this site, which asks for:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Which service you're interested in
• Any message you write to us

This site does not use cookies, and we do not currently run any analytics or tracking software on it.

How we use it

We use the information you submit solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you go on to become a customer, to provide our services to you. We don't use it for marketing you haven't asked for, and we don't sell or rent it to anyone.

Third parties involved in running this site

To keep this site simple and reliable, a couple of external services are involved behind the scenes:

• FormSubmit — when you submit the enquiry form, the details are relayed to us by FormSubmit, a third-party form processing service. They handle the message only long enough to deliver it to our inbox.
• Google Fonts — this site loads its typefaces from Google's servers. As with any request to Google's servers, this may involve your device's IP address being visible to Google as part of that request, under Google's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

Enquiry details are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, where you become a customer, for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of these, just email james@savemydata.net. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

If this policy changes, we'll update this page with a new "last updated" date above.
